Gracious Father, we pray for your holy Catholic Church. Fill it with all truth, in all truth with all peace. Where it is corrupt, purify it; where it is in error, direct it; where in any thing it is amiss, reform it. Where it is right, strengthen it; where it is in want, provide for it; where it is divided, reunite it; for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son our Savior. Amen.

Clergy invited to Yew Dell Gardens on Easter Monday
From Marian Taylor, Executive Director of the Kentucky Council of Churches
The Kentucky Council of Churches has arranged to have the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens open on the Monday immediately following EasterSunday, as a free gift of appreciation for church leaders. Entry for clergy will be free between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and the Kentucky Council of Churches will pick up your entry fee.
If you can, please bring us the gift of one of your Easter Sunday bulletins -- not as a ticket but as a memento of our connection with you. The lovely Yew Dell grounds are ideal for strolling, either alone or with a friend. Picnic tables are available, so consider bringing a bag lunch. The Council has rented the small building called "The Castle" (picture below) to offer beverages and conversation to anyone who wants to stop by. Feel like chatting? Just drop in.
The Yew Dell Botanical Gardens are at 6220 Old Lagrange Road in Crestwood, KY (a bit northeast of Louisville). A good map is on this web site www.yewdellgardens.org
Many church leaders plan some self-care for the week after Easter. We know that the season of Lent and Holy Week are a time of special intensity for those who preach and care for parishes and congregations. A stroll in a beautiful place can provide rest and recreation, a helpful dose of "health and hospitality". If spending a few minutes or a few hours at the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens can be part of your Day After Easter, I'll be very pleased to see you there!

Church Leadership Reports
If you have not already done so, please submit your Church Leadership Report into the Diocesan Office.
Annually, a parish elects members to serve in their Vestry. Following the election of the wardens, secretary, and treasurer, the Church Leadership Report form should be completed online and sent to the Diocesan Office.
Mission churches have their warden and Bishop's Committee appointed annually by the Bishop. Before submitting their Church Leadership Report, they should speak with the Canon to the Ordinary about certifying their Bishop's Committee membership. Read more... |

Summer Camp Registration is Open and Dates have Changed

Join us for adventure, fun, and Christian community at All Saints Camp as we live out this year's theme, World Cup. Together we will explore what it means to be on God's team, what kind of setbacks God's followers have endured, and how faithful people have been able to overcome the obstacles they've faced.
You will notice that camp dates have changed. Due to the heavy winter the school year was extended to make up days. Some school systems were legislated to make up school right up to our original camping dates with Counselor Training so we moved them back a week, all but Jr. High which will remain the same. We are sorry for the inconvenience this brings as we know some of you had already planned your vacations around the old dates.
2014 Camp Schedule | Camp | Dates | Grades* | Deposit |
Total Cost
| | Senior High | June 22-17 | 9th-12th | $110 | $330 | | New Horizons | June 29-July 4 | 5th-6th | $110 | $330 | | CIT 1 | June 29-July 4 | 9th-10th | $40 | $120 | | Primary | July 6-10 | 2nd-4th | $100 | $300 | | CIT 2 | July 6-10 | 9th-10th | $40 | $120 | | Junior High | July 13-18 | 7th-8th | $110 | $330 |
