Greetings!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Holistic Healing and Nutrition is excited to offer a day of Breast Thermography at our office. Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in all women. It is particularly fatal in women ages 25-30, yet mammograms are not recommended for routine screening until age 40.
Tuesday October 29th, we will have a limited number of appointments available.
Please call the office ASAP to be sure you get the time that works best for you.
Early detection is KEY to survival!

What is Breast Thermography? It is an accurate, noninvasive way of screening ALL women for breast cancer.
How does it work? Using a special infrared camera, 9 photos are taken of the breast at various angles and then analyzed to look for abnormal tissue growth.
What makes Thermography so great? With Thermography there is no squishing or manipulating the breast tissue and it is not uncomfortable in the least. There are also a lot less false positives with Thermography because not only does it detect very small nodules (that may not be felt of routine breast exams), but it will also tell you if the nodule is "Hot" (high metabolic activity characteristic of cancer cells) or "Cold" (low metabolic activity characteristic of benign nodules).
Who can have Thermography done? EVERYONE. Thermography is appropriate and recommended for all women over the age of 20. It is 100% safe during breastfeeding and pregnancy. It's sensitive for women with very dense, cystic breasts as well as women who have had breast surgery (augmentation, reduction and mastectomy)
Who performs the procedure? Linda Perry LM, is a licensed midwife with offices in NYC and NJ. You can read more about Linda here: http://www.breastcancerscreen.com/Womens_Health_Blog/About_Me.html
What's the cost? $300 includes the 30-45 minute office visit, health history, imaging, thermography report interpretation, and a follow up phone call. **Some insurance plans may cover the cost, please call your insurance provider for more details**
How do I make an appointment? Call our office 845-471-6400

Easy Pan-Fried Lemon Chicken
|
via Stupid Easy Paleo
1 chicken breast Juice and zest of 1 lemon 1-2 teaspoons olive oil 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper serve over salad
- In a plastic ziploc bag, combine the chicken breast, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Press the air out of the bag and seal.
- Use a meat pounder or rolling pin to flatten the chicken breast into one even thickness. I have also used an empty Nalgene bottle for the same purpose when I didn't have a meat pounder. Improvise. Be a MacGuyver.
- Let the chicken marinate for at 30 minutes for best results but you can cook it right away if needed.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add more of your fat of choice, such as coconut oil.
- Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side or until completely cooked through.
- Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
