Venture Wins Two Top Awards at Cisco's Partner Summit!
At Cisco's Partner Summit on April 28th, in Montreal, Canada, Cisco announced that Venture Technologies won two of Cisco's most prestigious awards: the first, a Regional Award for "Outstanding Solutions Partner" for the Western United States, and the second for "Solution Innovation Partner of the Year" for the United States. Representing Venture and accepting both awards was Gerard Gibert, Chief Executive Officer. Cisco Partner Summit awards reflect the top-performing partners within specific technology markets across all geographical regions. All award recipients are selected by a group of Cisco Worldwide Partner Organization and regional executives.
"We are extremely pleased that our time, energy and loyalty to Cisco has been recognized with these two amazing awards", said Venture Technologies CEO, Gerard Gibert. In addition, Venture's President, Win Farnsworth said, "These awards demonstrate that Venture Technologies is focused on Cisco's innovative end-to-end solution architectures. Cisco has acknowledged our dedication to supporting a broad customer base with their best-of-breed solutions." Venture Technologies Named Finalist for "Best Places to Work in Mississippi for 2015"
Venture Technologies is a finalist in Mississippi Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" program for 2015. The program recognizes businesses across the state based on employee surveys from all nominated and participating businesses.
Venture has previously been selected as one of Mississippi's "Best Places to Work" and placed 4th last year in the medium sized business category. Winning companies of "Best Places to Work" are defined into categories: Small, Medium, Large, and Mega Large. First, second, and third place are awarded in each category.
Venture Technologies, along with other selected companies, will be honored June 26th where the awards will be announced.

CEO Named Finalist for the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 in the Gulf Coast Area
Venture Technologies' CEO, Gerard Gibert, was named a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year in early May. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. These business leaders were selected by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala on June 25, 2015 at the Hilton Americas-Houston.

Venture Technologies' locations in the South held a total of five customer Demo Days that produced an incredible outcome. Around 500 people were in attendance to enjoy good food, meeting with vendor reps and personal time with account managers.

Staff Spotlight: Ridgeland's System Engineer Named JPS Parent of the Year
The father of a seven and 10-year-old at Spann Elementary, Herring loves to help others. Herring, a former marine, decided to join a volunteer group called Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) when he noticed the absence of fathers at his sons' school. "We should get out and be proactive and have actions to do what's needed so we can help our kids be successful," said Herring after being presented the award." Since joining the group, he helped plan and organize Spann's annual career day and the first-ever Donuts for Dads this year.
Herring will be considered with the other selected parents for the 2015 Mississippi Parent of the Year honor. The Parent of the Year program invites each Mississippi school district to select a parent that goes above and makes a significant commitment to their local school. A committee composed of school administrators, teachers from various districts, and parents will evaluate applications.

John Little, EVP, earns Cisco Business Value Practitioner Certification
Venture Technologies' John Little, EVP and Kevin Snoddy, have
achieved the Cisco® Business Value Practitioner Certification. Recipients of this certification learn advanced business value related techniques, plus  further develop communication and stakeholder management skills. "We are pleased to add the BVP certification to our extensive portfolio of Cisco certifications," said Gerard Gibert, Venture's CEO.
