USHJA Foundation Travel Grant
CPI California deadline is January 18, 2016
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

Acceptance to compete at the College Preparatory Invitational
-
U.S. citizen and/or legal permanent resident
-
Current member of the USHJA
-
Meet at least one academic requirement as listed below:
a. Top 20% class rank
b. 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Demonstrate financial need
-
Three Letters of Recommendations
CPI Essay Award
CPI California deadline is January 8, 2016 - This Deadline has been extended to February 6, 2016
CPI California Topic is:
Discuss what your equestrian training has taught you and how these values have been manifested both inside and outside of the show ring.
CPI Champion of Service Award
CPI California deadline is February 27, 2016
Community service is defined as a service that is performed for the service of a charitable organization that has been granted nonprofit, tax-exempt status by the IRS.
Entrant must supply the CPI with the following forms:

A letter on the organization's letterhead documenting the entrant's service performed and the hours served.

A copy of the IRS letter of recognition of exemption of all the organizations that are documenting entrants' service hours.

A current school transcript with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is required.

Forms must be sent via United States Postal Service Certified Return Receipt to the following address:

CPI Written Horsemanship Test Award
AVAILBLE ONLINE 1 DAY ONLY
CPI California February 20, 2016
The 2016 Horsemanship Test will be available for ONE (1) DAY only on Saturday, February 20, 2016 for all CPI California Rider entries. Beginning at 8:00 AM Eastern Standard Time and will be available for 24 hours only. All tests must be submitted electronically within the 24 hour timeframe.
The top Five (5) online test scores will be eligible to complete a Written Exam during the 2016 CPI Horse Show inn Florida and California. The highest written exam score participant will be awarded the $500.00 CPI Written Horsemanship Test Scholarship Award.
