The delivery of dental care has been changing. You may have seen some of this. Traditional dental insurance plans are less popular with companies. PPO and DMO insurance plans are becoming more prevalent. The net effect of this is to drive down costs for care.
However, with these changes, are other costs. Dental fees are being further squeezed by PPO insurance carriers. This makes providing quality care even more difficult. With the growth of DMO, or capiation, plans, patients may find their available appointments being rationed, like seats on a plane when using airline miles.
Groups and companies are buying up dental practices much more often now. Often these dental practices are presented as private dental practices. However, patients will find that there is a turnover of dentists and staff, they will find that they do not know who there dentist may be on a particular day, and they may feel more pressure to obtain dental care whether the care is needed or not.
The net result is that patients find it more difficult to obtain quality care from a dentist they can trust. As time goes on, our practice is becoming more unique. We do have companies and groups who want to buy this practice. We continue to resist these changes, for your benefit.
If you have friends, coworkers, and loved ones who express difficulties or problems with their respective dental office, we invite you to consider referring them here, to us. We may be exactly what they are looking for!
