This year's issue of US News and World Reports indicates that being a dentist is their listed #1 job for 2013.  I whole-heartedly agree.  

I have had as a goal to be a dentist since I was 4 years-old.  Never did I imagine this job was going to be as great as it is.  I value the ability to help you, our valued patients.  However, I also value being able to witness the unfolding of your lives.  Many of you have been with us for over 15 years.  We have been able to share our lives together.  That has been such a gift to me.  The third thing I appreciate about dentistry is that it is still very possible to have amongst the best dental care in the world right here.  More specifically the health care climate and the insurance climates have not adversely affected the delivery of dental care as much as the delivery of medical care.  I have very sincere concerns about the quality of medical care here in our country.  However, I am very pleased to say that we can still deliver very, very good care here within our office.  

 

We thank you for your continued trust and your continued interest in our electronic newsletters.  For many of you school is ending so there may be more unscheduled time for the students.  If any of them are past due for their regularly scheduled preventive visit now would be a good time to call us for an appointment.  For those of you who are teachers or school administrators the same applies.  Many of you benefit from summer and winter or Christmas break preventive appointments.

We have all heard the jokes and comments made about root canal treatment.  We can honestly let you know that these procedures do not need to be terrible nor painful.  Much of this has to do with how well these procedures are managed.  We have a great deal of empathy for our valued patients so we work very hard to manage these very well.  

 

With the summer starting it is a very good time to have the air conditioner units serviced and evaluated.  This can prevent unforeseen lack of refrigerant or blocked drainage pipes.  Without proper care, problems can develop which can be quite expensive.  This same philosophy exists for your teeth.  Prevention can save much in the way of money, time, and treatment.
