This is a very difficult time for national health care.  Our government is re-creating our health care system, the insurance companies have been controlling the delivery of care to some degree for over 20 years, and the quality of care may well be slipping.  The delivery of dental care specifically has changed as well; however, not as severely until lately.  These days we are familiar with chain dental clinics and more recently the introduction of retail or corporate dental practices.  These are businesses that just happen to be providing dental care.  The dentists change daily to some degree, there is high turnover of dentists, there are pressures to satisfy the business owners or stockholders, and the dentists do not have that sense of ownership.  Things have changed.  I have worked very hard to maintain that traditional family dental practice, where you can depend upon the same dentist, who truly cares for you as a patient and as an individual, who respects your time and your dignity, who still aims to provide the best quality of care that dentistry can possibly provide, who is willing to put in whatever time it takes to get the job done properly, ethically, and with great care.  You can very much trust us.  I will always assure you of that!

With the new year off to a nice start it would be a good time to follow up on some ideas or resolutions you may have made.  It is always a good idea to focus on our health.  By having regular dental visits we can identify potential problems or current problems before they become more involved and more costly.  The absence of pain and sensitivity does not at all guarantee that all is well.  That is why the American Dental Association and dentists recommend your seeing a dentist at least twice a year.  This formula has done so much to enhance our overall dental health in one or two generations.  We invite you to contact us for one of these preventive appointments so we can help you to save money and perhaps aggravation.
