Thanks to YOU, we accomplished great things this year! We made it through a major

"overhaul" that included modifying program curriculum, adding a Family Literacy program to bring parents into the process in order to promote literacy development in the home, and

re-branding to align our outward "appearance" to our program focus of literacy. 

With your support, we were also able to start a Book Bag program which enabled students to "check out" a bag containing 2 reading level appropriate books each week. Not only did YOU get books into homes where few books can be found, but YOU also provided activities that families could do together to promote reading as a "way of life". Thank you!

• 76% of our small group reading tutorial students improved at least 1 Reading Grade Level during the course of our 23 week program! 12% of those students moved up 2 Reading Grade Levels!

• 80% of students in our Steps to Success after school program report caring more about others and their community than they did at the start of this program. 

• 80% of surveyed parents report their child(ren) have a greater interest in books and listening to stories as a result of participating in our Ready, Set, Read! program.

• 100% of surveyed parents report they would recommend the Steps to Success and Ready, Set, Read! program to other parents.
