CHANGING THE WORLD ONE LIFE AT A TIME
Making It Better is a non-profit organization that improves literacy, leadership and life skills for under-served elementary students.

Our Volunteers are Priceless!

Did you know that April is Volunteer Appreciation Month? Making It Better would not be the same without our volunteers! Every person has something special to give, and we are extremely grateful for each volunteer! We would like to thank ALL of you who have given your time and talents, and give special recognition                         to individuals who have committed to weekly opportunities this                               school year:

"Volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless." (Author Unknown)

A Magical Evening!

A BIG thank you to those who made Family Literacy Night a big success at Bruce Elementary School! Families participated in fun literacy activities, while guest readers read to small groups of children. Our celebrity reader was former Houston Texans player, Wade Smith, who brought the children to laughter with his animated reading style. The evening culminated with a drawing for gift baskets filled with literacy and enrichment activities.
