Synod Assembly Update

Pre-Assembly Materials Online 
The pre-assembly materials are the preliminary online materials for voting members who are attending the Southeastern Iowa Synod Assembly May 30-June 1 at the Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in Coralville, IA.

 

Pre-Assembly materials can be downloaded from the assembly website. All voting members are encouraged to read through the materials prior to assembly.

Hotel Accommodations 

An additional block of rooms have been reserved for assembly at the Hampton Inn Coralville at a special rate of $97/night with complimentary continental breakfast, free parking, and complimentary shuttle to and from the Marriott.

Picture this: Surrounded by an alien culture; worried about keeping young people engaged; a nonfunctioning government; a religious establishment in disarray; the economy is a mess; competing and beguiling demands on people's attention, time and loyalty; a worship facility in serious need of repair; a dizzying rate of change; and people either tempted to throw out all forms of the past or to cling mindlessly to tradition for fear of change.

Synod Picture Directory
Life Touch will be taking photos of rostered leaders for the Southeastern Iowa Synod directory. Each rostered leader that has their picture taken will receive a free 8X10 or sheet of wallets, plus a directory.  

 

Sign-up for an appointment before May 30. Walk in appointments will also be available during the assembly.

This Broadway style production of "Beautiful Africa: A New Generation" features vibrant, traditional African music, dance, and story telling.
