New Picture Directory
At synod assembly, Life Touch will be taking photos of rostered leaders for the Southeastern Iowa Synod directory. Each rostered leader that has their picture taken will receive a free
8X10 or sheet of wallets, plus a directory.
Sign-up for an appointment before May 30. Walk in appointments will also be available during the assembly.

Delegation from Iowa City visits Bishop Victoria Cortez in Nicaragua
Members of Lutheran Campus Ministry and Gloria Dei in Iowa City were part of a delegation to Nicaragua, March 15-22, 2014
 While in Nicaragua the delegation learned about the history and mission of the Lutheran Church in Nicaragua and explored possibilities for future collaborations and exchange programs. Connect children with God's work around the world with Catch the Buzz - a free Vacation Bible School curriculum from the ELCA Malaria Campaign.
If you already have Vacation Bible School plans, you can also use the curriculum and activities in Sunday School.

Wholly Iowa Youth Leadership Discipling Event (WIYLDE) is a ministry and leadership workshop for high school youth, grades 9-12, of ELCA congregations in Iowa held at Luther College in Decorah.
The workshop provides opportunities for young people to grow in their own faith and take tools back to their home congregations to provide leadership in the youth ministry program. Each participant will learn:
- How to help plan and lead worship
- How to lead a Bible study
- Where to find youth ministry materials
- How to help organize youth events
WIYLDE is supported by all three ELCA Iowa synods. If you know a high school student who would benefit from attending this workshop event, you can find more information on the synod website.
