Racial Justice Workshop
January 20, 2014 - Martin Luther King Day

This year will mark the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the sweeping civil rights legislation that prohibits discrimination of all kinds based on race, color, religion, or national origin. Our laws, institutions, economy and attitudes have come a long way since 1964. Yet we still have work to do in order to make these laws real for our time. This Martin Luther King Day, take time to live the spirit of the day. Emulate King's dedication to racial justice and community development by joining us January 20 at the Synod Center of Ministry for a day of conversation and interactive activities.

Share Your Faith in Action Stories
Do you have photos or stories that depict the life and ministry of your congregation or community? We love being able to share Faith in Action stories of God at work in the congregations across the Southeastern Iowa Synod. Who knows how your story might inspire others? Faith in Action stories and photos may appear in synod publications (E-Newsletter), the synod website, and on Facebook and Twitter. You can send your pictures and stories to Minda Davison.
