It serves as a social platform for the congregation, supports those in need within the church neighborhood, raises awareness of St. Mark's presence in the Quad City community, and is a vital resource for social service agencies and other churches. Looking for a hunger resource to use with the youth in your congregation? The Animal and Hunger toolkit is available through the ELCA World Hunger website to help children learn about the ways that animals can support and improve the standard of living for individuals, families, and communities. This toolkit has a special track geared toward kids aged 3-10 but also provides activities for multiple age groups.

The Saint John's Bible Comes to Augustana College
The Saint John's Bible is a one of a kind work of art. Renowned calligrapher Donald Jackson was commissioned to produce this hand-written, hand-illuminated Bible, and is the first of its kind. The full 7 Volume Set of The Saint John's Bible will be on Display on the main floor of the Tredway Library November 19-December 15. These volumes are open to the public during regular library hours. The exhibit will also feature 10 framed illuminations from the Saint John's Bible.

Lutheran Men in Mission: One Year to Live Retreat
Sponsored by Lutheran Men in Mission, this is a retreat for men where hearts and souls can be strengthened by the call of Christ. The One Year to Live Retreat is February 7-9, 2014 at Camp Ewalu in Strawberry Point, IA. Many have found this retreat to be a spiritual and life impacting experience, different from any other retreats or conferences they have attended.
