Tri-Synodical Fall Theological Conference
September 22 to September 24, 2013
How does our Lutheran understanding of the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, inform our ethical principles-if it does? How can the freedom we have been given as Christians call us into servanthood for the sake of the world? How do we make the notion of "gospel ethics" a reality in the lives of our congregations? Join Lutheran ethicists and theologians Dr. Per Anderson of Concordia College and Dr. Cynthia Moe-Lobeda of Seattle University, along with colleagues from all three Iowa Synods, as we consider the relationship between the unconditional good news of the gospel and morally-directed principals that guide our choices.

"God's Work. Our Hands." Sunday
"God's work. Our hands." Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate our 25th anniversary as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
We are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work. On Sept., 8, 2013, let's join together as 4 million members, nearly 10,000 congregations, 65 synods and the churchwide expression for a dedicated day of service.

ELCA Malaria Campaign resources for kids!Seeds for the Parish, Summer 2013
This summer while the kids in your congregation, your vacation Bible school class, or summer picnics are busy swatting those pesky misquotes, turn those pests into a learning experience. The ELCA Malaria Campaign has a number of resources to help kids understand the impact malaria has on people around the world. Download crafts, activities, bulletin inserts, and some brand new coloring pages to help teach kids about the important work ELCA members are doing as part of the ELCA Malaria Campaign. Don't underestimate children's ability to respond. When 10-year-old Ava Aigner first hear about the ELCA Malaria Campaign during vacation Bible school at Richland Lutheran in Walcott, ND, she was so inspired she raised 1,004 for the ELCA Malaria Campaign.
