Big News: Land Purchase

On October 31, 2013 Head of School Eric Thuau and Board Chair Susan Griesse closed on the purchase of a 2.2 acre lot in close proximity to the current campus!  This land became available last February, and after a thorough process we decided to move forward with the purchase.

After 19 years of existence, FASPS is now the proud owner of a piece of land, a possible permanent home for our program! The next year and a half will be spent on researching and assessing the different options to consider for the future of our school: an exciting time that we could not have even imagined without the work, dedication, and support of our past and current families.  We will certainly keep you posted on any new developments.

A New Tagline for FASPS!

With close to 400 students as we write, FASPS is practically bursting at the seams in our current facility. Our graduates continue to make us very proud and to be our best advocates for the FASPS program, especially as the demand and interest for multi-lingual education keeps rising. FASPS is certainly at a turning point in its young history, and is positioning itself as a regional leader for excellence in bilingual education.  To this point, we are pleased to present you the school's new tagline, as depicted above.

The FASPS Bus

Beep! Beep!  You may have seen the new (white!) FASPS bus cruising along the Seattle streets from Woodland Park to Queen Anne, Capitol Hill and South Seattle, and getting our students to and from the FASPS campus in the morning and afternoon!  The generosity of our guests at the 2013 Gala supported the purchase of this bus, and the service was up and running for the first day of school.

Annual Report and Annual Fund

Annual Report

We are proud to present to you the FASPS Annual Report for the 2012-13 school year.  Click here to view, or email us to receive a hard copy.

Giving Week

Our Annual Fund was launched during the FASPS Giving Week from October 7-11, 2013.  Eight families came together and challenged our community with a $40,000 match and an additional $10,000 if we reached 80% participation during that week!  And we did it!  On both fronts, our community came together strongly and met the two challenges!

We are still $10,000 short of reaching our financial goal of $220,000, and hope all of you will consider joining us in this year's Annual Fund.  You can easily participate by donating online here, or by sending us a check at 3795 East Mercer Way, Mercer Island, WA 98040.

Merci!

Stay Connected
FASPS Alumni Facebook Page

With a truly international community that often travels and changes addresses, we thought a social media platform would be a great way to stay connected, at least virtually!  The FASPS Alumni page on Facebook launced last fall, and we've already connected with more than 30 of you!

We have posted many photos from past years, but we need your help in identifying who is pictured in the pictures, and when they were taken.  Help us by tagging your friends, posting updates and memories on the wall, and of course sending us more photos of you and news about what you are up to these days!

What are you up to?

We want to hear from you and know all about your high school and college experience!  Please email us back with YOUR news!

Alumni Contact Information Form

We have developed an Alumni Contact Information Form to make sure we keep accurate and updated contact information for each one of you.  The form is posted on the FASPS website under Alumni and can also be accessed HERE. Please fill it out to make sure we have your updated information, and direct any other Alumni families you know to this page

A bientôt !
