YOUR TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK

CFX is widening the 408 from Good Homes Road to east of Hiawassee Road. This project will add a travel lane in both directions (from 2 to 3 lanes) and will widen the ramp from westbound 408 to Good Homes Road from 1 lane to 2 lanes. Work is scheduled to begin this summer and finish in 2017.

PARTNER UPDATE:
I-4 ULTIMATE

Drivers should always be cautious while behind the wheel, especially in construction areas. National Work Zone Awareness Week began April 11, and those driving through the I-4 Ultimate project (from west of Kirkman Road to east of 434) are reminded to drive carefully.

In work zones, speed limits may be decreased, lanes may be closed, narrowed
or shifted and people may be working
near the road.

TRUTH ABOUT TOLLS

The federal gas tax hasn't risen since 1993 - it's only 18.4 cents per gallon. Toll roads are an option to help fill that gap and build necessary roads quickly. Remember, toll roads are a CHOICE!

Here's one more reason why life's better with E-PASS. Beginning May 1, E-PASS customers can save up to 15% on tolls when they have 80 or more transactions per month. Approved by our Board on April 14, the new E-PASS Customer Loyalty Program provides discounts based on the number of transactions per transponder each month.

There's no enrollment process or monthly fee and E-PASS customers are automatically eligible to participate. Customers who frequently travel on CFX portions of the Beltway (417, 429 and 414) can receive an additional 5% toll discount during the construction of the I-4 Ultimate project.
DISTRACTED DRIVING AWARENESS MONTH

CFX is committed to the safety of our customers. In recognition of April as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, we're supporting the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles by asking you to help keep our roadways safe.

Texting while driving is one of the most dangerous distractions behind the wheel.

That's why we launched a "Designated Texter" (DT) public service campaign in 2013 to educate the community about the dangers of texting and driving and offer a solution. Remember to keep your focus on the road and hand your cell phone over to a DT.

PARTNER UPDATE:
POINCIANA PARKWAY

On April 30, the Osceola County Expressway Authority (OCX) will open the first segment of Poinciana Parkway from US 17-92 to Marigold Avenue.

This new road will feature all electronic tolling, so drivers will use their pre-paid toll account (such as E-PASS) or receive a Pay-by-Plate invoice in the mail. Learn more about Poinciana Parkway here.

While the parkway will be open to traffic on April 30, toll collection will begin on June 1. The E-PASS sticker is FREE for Osceola County residents, as well as the other 6 counties in Central Florida. Go to GetEPASS.com to sign up and start saving time and money.

IN THE COMMUNITY

We shared information on the benefits of E-PASS at a number of community events this month including Fiesta in the Park, RAM National Circuit Rodeo and the Osceola County Animal Services Community Appreciation Event.

Our team also signed up new E-PASS customers at Commissioner Scott Boyd's Williamsburg Community Town Hall and Commissioner Fred Hawkins' Harmony Community Town Hall.
