AT WORK

SR 417/Boggy Creek Road Interchange

The bridge beams for the 417/Boggy Creek Interchange project were put in place last weekend. This is a big milestone for this project because now we can start the process of building the travel lanes. This project is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

CORPORATE 5K

Is your organization participating in the
IOA Corporate 5k tonight? We'll be there representing Team CFX! Look for us in these blue E-PASS shirts.

2040 MASTER PLAN

We have officially kicked off our 2040 Master Plan process. Over the next year, our board will begin planning for future growth in Central Florida and set a new vision for CFX.
We'll keep you posted as the plan develops.
NATIONAL DISTRACTED DRIVING AWARENESS MONTH

The National Safety Council has named April National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Safety is one of our top priorities here at CFX. That's why we recently joined in partnership with the FL DNT TXT+DRIVE Coalition.

Remember: Drivers who send text messages are 23 times more likely to be involved in a crash. Don't take the risk! Designate a texter by handing over your phone to a passenger. Share a photo of your DT on social media with the hashtag #WhosYourDT.

CFXSOLUTION.COM

We recently launched a new website to help commuters choose the Beltway (417, 429 and 414) during the I-4 Ultimate construction.

If you can't leave the keys at home, check out www.CFXsolution.com to learn more about alternative routes, discount information and how to sign up for E-PASS.

You asked, we listened ... In case youi missed it, we have lowered the balance you must have in pre-paid tolls to open a new E-PASS account from $25 to $15. Each additional transponder added to that account is now $10.

MOVE OVER LAW

In support of Distracted Driving Awareness Month, we've added the words "MOVE OVER" to the signs on our Road Ranger trucks.

Florida's Move Over Law states that you must move to the next lane if there is an emergency or law enforcement vehicle on the side of the road. This includes Road Rangers and utility service vehicles as well. If you can't move over, slow down to 20 MPH below the posted speed limit.

Our test run found that this new messaging increased the amount of drivers who moved over by nearly 80 percent. Please help keep our Road Rangers safe by staying focused on the expressways!

STUDENT SITE TOURS

More than 40 UCF and USF students from the local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineering had the opportunity to tour the 417/Boggy Creek Interchange Project this month. The experience gave these future engineers a chance to see how our roads are built. For many, this was their first time visiting an actual work site.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What should I do if I change vehicles and need to move my E-PASS over?

Contact the E-PASS Service Center or log in to your online account and provide updated vehicle information. The mini sticker transponder is not portable and can't be transferred to another vehicle. But the good news is you can request a new sticker for free!

Don't forget to update the rest of your account information too - email address, home address, phone number, car information, etc.

CFX REWIND

Last weekend we were at Spring Fiesta, an annual festival at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. Sidewalk art led people to our E-PASS tent to talk about free transponders and our new discounts. Thanks for stopping by!
