SHARING OUR STORY

Want to know more about what this new regional agency means for you? We'd love to come speak to your group. We're out in the community several times a month sharing the CFX story.

Email Alayna Curry or call her directly at 407-690-5345 to set up a presentation!

In the last month, Alayna has presented to two government classes at Seminole State College, the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge (pictured above) and the Learning Institute for Elders at UCF.

BOARD UPDATE

NEW MEMBERS

The Governor recently appointed 2 new members to our board - bringing us to a full seated board of 9.

We welcome Jay Madara (left), CFO for Golf Channel and S. Michael Scheeringa (right), President & CEO Flight Support for BBA Aviation.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SEARCH

Our board has placed the executive director search on hold until the new year. They will reconvene on Jan. 8 to discuss more.

GIVING BACK

For the last month, CFX staff members have been collecting canned goods and non-perishables for local families in need. Together we were able to donate 400 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida!
Our board and staff wishes you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and safe travels!

Project construction will be suspended on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Our service centers and call center will be closed those days as well.
SAVE MONEY IN 2015

Did you know paying for your tolls with E-PASS is cheaper than paying with cash? It costs us less money to collect tolls electronically, so we pass those savings on to you!

Make your New Year's resolution to save cash on tolls with our E-PASS Mini Sticker! It's FREE for residents in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties, and there's no cost to have an account. Activation requires $25 in prepaid tolls.

You can sign up to receive the sticker online

at one of our service centers or by phone at

(407) 823-7277.

Don't forget to make sure your E-PASS account information is current for 2015. Click here to update your address, payment information, license plate and more.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Does CFX receive any federal gas tax dollars?

The federal gas tax is a flat rate of 18.4¢ per gallon that you pay at the pump. This amount has not been raised since 1993 and primarily pays for non-toll road construction and transit.

CFX does NOT receive any federal, state or local gas taxes. Our system is funded by your toll dollars (AKA user fees) - meaning you only pay for what you use!

PROJECT UPDATE

I-4 ULTIMATE

The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) I-4 Ultimate project will improve 21 miles from east of Kirkman Road in Orange County to west of SR 434 in Seminole County.

I-4 will be widened with 2 new express (dynamic toll) lanes in each direction. The existing lanes will be non-tolled like today. Florida's Turnpike Enterprise will collect the tolls on I-4, not CFX.

Construction is scheduled to start in February 2015 with completion in 2021. For more information, contact:

I-4/SR 408 INTERCHANGE

More than 198,000 vehicles pass through Downtown Orlando at I-4 and SR 408 every day - making it the most heavily traveled interchange in the metro area. CFX is contributing $230 million to improve this interchange.

Providing a direct connection between I-4 and SR 408 will significantly improve access and relieve congestion. Stay tuned for more updates.
