CFX TRANSITION

We are in the process of changing our website and Facebook page to reflect

the new agency. Thank you for your patience as we transition.

We do have a new Twitter handle.

Please follow us at @CFXWay.

Your E-PASS account remains the same and you do not need to take any action.

SR 417 CURRY FORD OVERPASS

Curry Ford Road is scheduled to close at the SR 417 interchange from 8 PM on Friday, September 12 to 6 AM on Monday, September 15 for bridge work. Detour signs will be posted. The 417/Curry Ford Interchange ramps will remain open during this time.

This closure is part of the 417 Widening Project, expanding the expressway from four to six lanes (three in each direction) between Curry Ford and Lake Underhill. The project began in March 2014 and is scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2015.

Want to know more about what this new regional agency means for you? We'd love to come out and speak to your group.
We're out in the community several times a month sharing the CFX story.

Email Alayna Curry or call her directly at 407-690-5345 to set up a presentation!
Over the past month, Alayna has presented to the Rotary Clubs of South Seminole, Altamonte and Maitland, as well as the Kiwanis Club of Avalon Park and the Azalea Park Safe Neighborhood Association.

STAY INFORMED

For the next few months, the board will be having extended meetings for workshops on various agency matters.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 9 AM. Click here to watch them live on OrangeTV

SR 408 SIGN REPLACEMENT

We now have a new overhead sign on SR 408 near Tampa Avenue. This is a replacement for a sign that was knocked down by a truck in March. The work took place overnight to minimize traffic impact.

CASH VS. E-PASS

Did you know that if you have a transponder (E-PASS or SunPass) you pay LESS than people who pay with cash? It costs us less money to collect your tolls electronically, so we pass on those savings to you!

For example, if you go through the SR 417 University plaza, cash drivers pay $1.00, while E-PASS customers pay $.82.

Plus, our E-PASS Mini Stickers are FREE for residents of Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. Activation requires $25 in prepaid tolls. You can get your sticker by signing up online, visiting either of our service centers or by calling us at (407) 823-7277.

SR 528 AIRPORT PLAZA DEMO

The CFX board recently awarded the construction contract for the 528 Airport Plaza demolition to Southland Construction, a local company based in Apopka.

This project will demolish the Airport plaza, which is the second busiest on our system. The toll currently collected at this plaza will be collected at the existing 528 West Main Plaza and at four new ramp plazas.

This is a two-year project and construction is expected to start this fall. For more information on how the change will affect your tolls, click here

SAFETY SPOTLIGHT

Safety is a top priority for CFX. We want to make sure our system is a safe alternative for drivers. This month, we're highlighting FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL.

FHP has troopers dedicated to our system. They patrol our roads from 6 AM to 10 PM, helping with accidents and keeping travel lanes clear. Don't forget to MOVE OVER when you see an officer or Road Ranger on the side of the road. If you can't move over, slow down to 20 MPH. It's the law.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

When will I be able to use my transponder to drive on toll roads in other states?

Soon! However, this is a challenging task as many agencies across the country use different technologies to collect their tolls. But we're working together to make it happen. Currently, you can use your transponder in North Carolina. More to come!
