FRAUD ALERT
 

Several E-PASS customers have reported receiving a fraudulent email notice appearing to be from E-ZPass. It appears to be malicious and sent by a fictitious entity. 

 

The email claims you may owe money for previous unpaid tolls. We suggest that you DO NOT click on the link in the email or open any attachments associated with it.

PROJECT UPDATE:
WEKIVA PARKWAY
 

Progress continues to be made on the Wekiva Parkway project. CFX's portions of the expressway are expected to reach 100% design in August, with construction soon to follow. 

 

This video helped win a 2014 Engineering Excellence Award by the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers.

 
OUR NEW LEADERS

The new CFX board met for the first time on July 10, 2014. Seven of the nine board members were present. Walter Ketcham sits as a CFX board member, pending his appointment or replacement by the Governor. We anticipate the Governor's appointments in the near future. 

The board elected officers. New elections will be held again once the Governor's appointees have joined the board.

SYSTEM RESURFACING

As part of our maintenance and safety program, several isolated areas on our system will undergo replacement of the asphalt pavement surface. Work is scheduled to begin the week of July 21 and is expected to last about three months. 

 

Drivers can expect lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. where the work is taking place. For alerts, follow us on Twitter at @CFXWay.


SAFETY SPOTLIGHT

Safety is a top priority at the Expressway Authority. We want to make sure our system is a safe alternative for drivers. This month, we're highlighting EXPRESS LANES.

 

Express lanes (also known as Open Road Tolling) allow electronic customers (such as E-PASS or SunPass) to keep traveling at posted highway speeds. Cash customers must keep to the far right lanes to pay at the plaza. Keeping these two types of transactions separate provides a huge safety benefit for drivers and toll collectors, and also improves travel time for customers.

What happens to Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) contracts? 
Contracts held by OOCEA transfer into CFX per legislation. If you have a contract with OOCEA and have questions, please contact the procurement department at 407-690-5000.
