The last new moon Solar Eclipse, was 10/23, in Scorpio.  We will be feeling this eclipse for the next few months. Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio, and both are associated with Transformation, Power, Money, Death, Earth Changes, Letting Go, Healing, Surgery, and the Underworld.

Scorpios come in 3 varieties.  Lowest form is the Scorpion quick for angry and revenge.  Next is the Eagle, a majestic bird who sees the big picture. The highest form is the Phoenix, a mythical bird, pictured above, which throws itself into the fire, burns off karma, then transforms into the next stage of his evolution.  Letting go of his past - he becomes a more positive future version.
Every transformation includes a Death (letting go) and a Rebirth of the new. A death of an idea, a bad habit, negative emotions, a bad relationship, a bad job, not necessarily a physical death. An upgrade and better times usually follow this process for all of us. 

MIND: A GRATITUDE JOURNAL
Life is stressful. No matter how determined you are   to make the best of everything, your optimism can wane.
Mari L. McCarthy suggests making a Gratitude Journal to help you mentally reshape your thinking. This is how.
1.  Reflect on everything and everyone that made you happy in the last 24 hours.
2.  Write down at least five to 10 items you are grateful for as they come to mind. Nothing is too small to include.
Keeping track of things in your life to be thankful for is a way embracing an attitude of gratitude.    
 
BODY: WARM UP YOUR BODY
Yes, I mention this every year as the weather changes, as a reminder to eat warming foods. There are many. Dark orange root vegetables such as sweet potatoes, winter squash, and carrots, onions and potatoes. Warming greens include arugula, mustard greens, and watercress.
Culinary herbs that warm and improve circulation include: Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cayenne, Cinnamon, Garlic, Ginger, and Horseradish. Use these herbs to spice up your food and teas to promote warmth throughout the body.
 
SPIRIT: "LETTING GO" MEDITATION
GO into meditation.  See yourself with your angels carrying baggage, suitcases and other heavy bags.  Allow yourself to walk the spiritual path; Identify what or who these bags relate to; Then let them go; When you have lightened up and released your baggage; Come out of meditation.
