A LITTLE ASTROLOGY FROM LAURA
October may be the most intense month of the fall season. October starts out in Libra - the sign of relationships, both easy and hard. Mercury goes retrograde on October 4 until October 25, creating a chaotic backdrop for communications and new endeavors. It is a good time to re-adjust any areas of your life needing improvement and a good time to meditate. There are 2 eclipses - one on October 8 and one on October 23. Eclipses bring intensity so fasten your seat belt. October 23 is also the day the sun goes into Scorpio, just in time for Halloween. Halloween is October 31st, a time that kids adore. It is also a time when the veil between dimensions is the thinnest. It is easier to be in contact with the universe and with those who have passed. Your unconscious may be more active, dreams may be more prophetic and meditations can bring in important information or loved ones can be attempting to visit you.

MIND/BODY NATURE CONNECT:
Fall is here. Leaves are changing from green to orange and red, reminding us it to change our diets as well. Take a hint from nature and eat those foods which are the same colors as the leaves.
As weather gets cooler. our bodies need warmer foods like stews, soups, and hot cereals. We also need more fat and protein. Take your Vitamin D3 and get 20 minutes of sun each day. Good for mood and to stop the munchies, which may happen as the days get shorter.
Darkness comes earlier, now around 6:30pm. If you are feeling out of balance, jumping into sweets, bread and pasta you may need some Nutritional advice. Make an appointment with Laura, a licensed practitioner and nutritional provider for BC/BS.

SPIRIT: TRANSFORMATION RITUALS
Rituals like meditation and prayer can help support changing negative habits and addictions. A ritual is mindful activity done repeatedly, with focused intent. When practiced on a regular basis, it raises and supports the energy for change on a deep level. Meditation works well during Mercury retrograde. HOW TO:
Have an intention of what you wish to change.
Go into meditation and call upon your Higher Self.
Ask what you can do to honor yourself and transform negative habits and addictions easily.
Ask your Higher Self to send nurturing energy into every cell in your body to alter old patterns. Breathe it in!
Thank your Higher Self. Come out of meditation.
Do this transformation ritual daily.
