HELLO FROM LAURA

I am back at Comeau Health Associates in Danvers, after selling my condo and moving to Salem. Moving is life changing. Lately, most people I have met are in some form of transition. They all have their stories. Divorces, births, new relationships, deaths, illnesses, new jobs, career changes, new homes, construction, and renovations.

The planets are telling us - we are progressing, but slowly. We may feel stuck - probably until September, when things start rolling again. Patience now, as we have time to fix our lives and purge the irrelevant.

Most of August is in Leo as depicted with the lion above. It is my birthday sign and I hope we all roar as we move through this Leo month with confidence.

MIND: FIXING LIFE, FIXING THINGS

We seem to be living at a time when - if something does not work, we throw it out. I think we need to at least attempt to try to fix or redo certain problems.

Perhaps we need to give that relationship or job, a second chance, with a few alterations. In any case we need to end the anger, fear and rage. If there is separation,do it nicely, leave neutrally, so the karma is completed in a healthy way.

When it comes to material things - we just throw them out if they are broken. With 3 planets retrograde (going backwards) broken items may be recycled, repaired or renewed. Think about this - the earth is filled with piles of castoffs. She is extremely upset and fighting back with crazy unpredictable weather and critical situations, like a tornado in Revere.

FixMaster, North Street, Salem, MA repairs anything with a cord. He fixed 3 lamps for me. They are better than new.

BODY: SUGAR - A PHONY FIX

The ads on TV indicate Pepsi is now using sugar in its soda. What happened to High Fructose Corn Syrup? Why did Pepsi change? Was it because it tastes better or perhaps it was because the of the ads for HFCS were not exactly truthful.

Those HFCS ads said it was the same as sugar. But it is not! It digests differently. Those ads are now gone.

Sugar is very addictive. HFCS is also. Both are hard to let go of. Some scientists says, sugar affects the same part of the brain as cocaine. People use addictive sugar as a "Fix", both physically, mentally and emotionally. Cigarettes are sugar cured - Another reason for smoking addiction.

Watch what you eat. Do research and don't believe everything you see in the ads. Many are sponsored by money and greed. They are not based on wellness.

SPIRIT: FORGIVING - A LOVING FIX

When we forgive, we're able to get back to loving ourselves and stop feeling like a victim. It means releasing the anguish your soul is carrying around. Whether your enemy deserves to be forgiven or not, it matters not. It is for yourself.

FORGIVENESS MEDITATION
Count down from 3 to 1, slow up your breath and relax.

Visualize the person, place or thing you want to forgive. See, hear, think and return to your feelings of anger, resentment or pain. Breathe in and surround the situation with violet light. Say, "I forgive you and let you go".

Now bring in green light, the color that represents your heart, healing and love. Let green light bathe you, the bad guy and the situation as it washes away the negativity. Continue to say, "I forgive you and let you go". Repeat for a few minutes.
Count to 3 and return to waking consciousness.
