SOU men's basketball recognized for highest team GPA in the nation at NAIA Division II level.

Eighteen class of '64 graduates returned for dinner and to be recognized during SOU's 88th commencement. One week later, 65 student-athletes from the 1960s spent a weekend together golfing, barbecuing at McNeal Pavilion, touring campus, and sharing stories during dinner at the Stevenson Union. Education alumni also returned for a relaxing barbecue reunion on the Plunkett Center lawn in June. (Photo galleries-'64 Gold Raiders, 1960s student-athletes)

Cecily Shaw Scala graduated in 1990 with a Nursing degree. In 2014, her daughter Alyssa Scala (pictured on the left as an infant at her mother's graduation) graduated in June with a degree in Environmental Studies.
