FlexMLS Announces New iPhone App
FlexMLS is pleased to announce the availability of a FlexMLS for iPhone app. Just go to the iTunes App Store to downloand this free app.
FlexMLS will release an Android version later in the summer. FlexMLS also has plans for tablet specific versions by the end of the year.

RVAR's Night at the Ballpark

$15 per person includes a box seat admission ticket and voucher good for a meal basket with your choice of a hot dog, hamburger, boneless wings, bbq sandwich or chicken tenders. Leadership Openings on 2015 RVAR BOD
RVAR's Board of Directors has announced the following leadership openings for 2015: President-elect, Vice President and 4 Director positions. The only stipulation for applicants is that there can be no more than two REALTORS® from the same firm serving on the Board at any given time. NOTE: The Immediate Past President is exempt from this requirement. August 1st is the deadline for receipt of written applications. The Nominating Committee will request a personal interview with each candidate in early August and recommend a slate of Officers and Directors to the Board of Directors. The membership will be notified of this slate in early September. Petition candidates may also file during September. Should there be any contested positions, an election by ballot will be held in the fall. Continuing their service on the 2015 Board will be: President Vic Coffey (RE/MAX All Stars); Immediate Past President Donna Greer (Long & Foster Hales Ford Bridge); and Directors Bryan Musselwhite (Poe & Cronk), Jeff Snyder (The Real Estate Group), and Richard Wimberley (RE/MAX All Points.) Bedford County Launches New GIS Website
Bedford County recently launched a new and improved public Geographic Information System (GIS). The GIS site is an interactive map which allows residents and professionals to view many layers of information, including tax, assessment, zoning, utilities, school, political, topography and public safety. The new site provides more searches and information, plus works with all Web browsers. This new GIS site incorporates information from both Bedford County and the Town of Bedford, and replaces each of these localities' earlier GIS sites. The County plans to update the GIS site much more frequently than the quarterly data updates available with the older site. Click here to check out the new GIS website. |

Need an office for a quiet meeting with your client? Need to log in to the MLS or print out a contract? RVAR's Library is available for your use -- complete with computer, printer, phone and WiFi. This free service is available to all RVAR members on a first come, first served basis -- or you may contact RVAR to reserve this space. Use of RVAR's library is available during RVAR's normal business hours, 8AM-4:30PM Monday - Friday.

The New Mobile Marketplace
The Southwest Virginia Association of REALTORS® invites RVAR members to register for Technology Unraveled: The New Mobile Marketplace, June 26th, 8:30AM-12:30PM in Abingdon. Instructor Steve Pacinelli is a national speaker, best known as the co-founder of www.TechSavvyAgent.com. This class qualifies for 2 hours PL credit and 3 hours CE credit. New Roanoke County GIS Website Debut: Roanoke County has recently launched a new public geographic information system (GIS) that allows greater and easier access to the County's mapping, tax parcel, zoning and governmental services data. The County will demonstrate its new GIS site -- focusing on the features most needed by REALTORS® -- on Wednesday, June 11th, 10AM-Noon at the RVAR office. Click here to register for this FREE class. Annual Lender Panel: "Minimizing Mortgage Mayhem" is the theme of this year's Lender Panel, Thursday, June 19th, 10:00-11:30AM at the RVAR office.
