Creating value for Nebraska's career education system

Greetings!

This Legislative Session has already been very exciting for Career and Technical Education!  I encourage you to check out the various bills that could impact the work we all do. Some of the bills have been heard in subcommittee already, while others are still waiting. To stay abreast of these activities, please go to: http://nebraskalegislature.gov/bills/  Some of the bill numbers you may want to check out are: LB 47, LB 116, LB 162, LB 163, LB 262, LB 332, LB 366, LB 367, LB 478, LB 480, LB 481LB 593,and  LB 640.  Please note: The Partnerships for Innovation does not have a position on any introduced bills, this communication is to provide information to PFI stakeholders; statewide.

PFI  enjoyed working with NDE and schools in ESU 1 and 8 on the reVISION process.  Lots of great conversation, idea generation and future thinking occurred. We are excited to see what comes of this!  PFI is looking forward to traveling to Scottsbluff in the middle of February to assist with NDE's facilitation of reVISION. A lot of wonderful opportunities in our great state!

About Us

Partnerships for Innovation (PFI)  is a collaboration of Nebraska secondary and postsecondary partners focused on building a better statewide system of Career and Technical Education to improve student learning and better meet economic development priorities. PFI will do this by introducing innovation in CTE delivery systems to include Career Academies, professional development and programs of study with coordinated curriculum between secondary and postsecondary.

If you would like assistance on implementing these initiatives in your community, please contact us.

Sincerely,
