Creating value for Nebraska's career education system

Greetings!

As with most fall seasons, there is a lot of activity buzzing around the state!  I've had the opportunity to visit more schools and meet with more educators this autumn and it reinforced why I am so proud of our career education programs and opportunities for students in our state.  Thank you for your hard work and dedication to Nebraska's Career Education!

PFI strives to highlight the best and most innovative in Nebraska's Career Education System, so if you have something you'd like PFI to share with the state, please forward the information.

NE Learn Regional Workshops
Pathways to Prosperity - Strengthening Partnerships through Data and Resources
The Partnerships for Innovation has been invited to collaborate with the Nebraska departments of Education, Labor and Economic Development to facilitate regional workshops across the state to highlight the resources in the newly developed website NELearn. If you are looking for H3 (high skill, high wage and high demand) occupation projections, Career Readiness Learning Modules (aligned to the Career Readiness Standards), Professional Development training for teaching in the classroom, support for i-Pathways and USA Learns, this is the workshop for you! For more information on the times and locations across the state, please visit the PFI website. Click on the link to register. PFI is working on developing and hosting an online training for the middle to end of December for those who prefer a web based training option. There is no cost to attend and lunch is provided at all the workshops. We hope to see you there!

About Us

Partnerships for Innovation (PFI)  is a collaboration of Nebraska secondary and postsecondary partners focused on building a better statewide system of Career and Technical Education to improve student learning and better meet economic development priorities. PFI will do this by introducing innovation in CTE delivery systems to include Career Academies, professional development and programs of study with coordinated curriculum between secondary and postsecondary.

If you would like assistance on implementing these initiatives in your community, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Erika Volker, Director
