The Civilian Marksmanship Program's Talladega Marksmanship Park is looking for volunteers to assist with an American Marksman Regional Event in July

American Marksman is a new televised match open to amateur shooters. With a low entry fee and no professionals allowed, this unique competition will give all shooters the chance to compete. Currently local matches are being conducted around the United States. The winners advance to the next level and compete at regional events. Regional winners will advance to the final stage of competition at the national level competing for $50,000.

The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park has been chosen as a host for a Regional level match on 22-24 July. We are excited to participate in this unique televised match. In order to execute this event we are looking for certified range officers with NRA, USPSA or IDPA accreditation. National Rifle Association Range Master certification, United States Practical Pistol Association Range Officer certification and International Defensive Pistol Association Certified Range Safety Officer credentials are all accepted. If you would like to assist but don't have a certification, volunteers are also needed as scorekeepers and general assistance.

Range officers will be compensated $125 each day (for up to three days).

Scorekeepers and all other volunteers will be compensated $100 each day (for up to three days).

If you are able to volunteer for any or all days (22-24 July) please email Sarah Hall at shall@thecmp.org. If you are volunteering for a range officer position, please attach your current certification.
