hundreds of sober, credible eyewitnesses claim to have seen Bigfoot in Dairy State forests, giant serpents in Madison lakes, dogmen sprinting from Walworth County cornfields, and massive birds with wingspans wider than a country road lurking along the Mississippi. Linda Godfrey, a journalist and author of 16 published books, provides a guided, illustrated tour of some of Wisconsin's weirdest creatures - both contemporary and ancient. Godfrey is a frequent guest on national TV and radio, and her latest book, American Monsters, (Aug. 28, 2014, Tarcher Penguin) has been featured in articles in Huffington Post, CNN.com, and Parade Magazine, among others. A dinner featuring the flavors of fall will accompany the presentation.
