Old World Wisconsin's New Themed Meal Experiences Transport Guests Back to 19th-Century Wisconsin
Four Different Events, Featuring Period-Inspired Food, Drink and Live Entertainment
|
Eagle, Wis.--Old World Wisconsin is launching the first of four Themed Meal Experiences Sunday, July 26, with "Little House Wedding Dinner." Guests will celebrate at an interactive, theatrical pioneer wedding, hosted in the regional history attraction's iconic octagonal barn. The experience will feature period-inspired food including Yankee Pot Roast, Roasted Chicken, Berry Pudding, Wedding Cake and much more, all served family style. Guest interaction is a major element of the evening's fun as the bride and groom lead the merriment. Participants will enjoy the brief ceremony, and then it's on to the dinner reception where food, drink, music, dance and a bit of chaos are sure to be featured.
Bob Parker, Old World Wisconsin's assistant director, and the inspiration behind these events, articulated his vision for the Themed Meal Experiences: "Our guests really enjoy stepping back in time and getting involved in our hands-on activities. We developed this program as a way to take the immersive experience a step further. Guests can take on the roles of family or friends of the couple, or simply relax and enjoy a spirited evening full of fun, frivolity and food."
