Ray Burns, president of our Southern Division, is retiring after 40 years in the industry! We wish him well, but will certainly miss him. Ray's retirement has precipitated a series of changes, which you can read more about below.

Mack Invests in Workforce Development

 

Eight employees from all three of Mack's Vermont manufacturing facilities participated in a two-part training program in systematic molding this spring. Presented by RJG, a leader in injection molding training, technology and resources, the course was broken into two three-day sessions in both the classroom and on the molding room...

Over the past four years, Mack's summer college internship program has steadily grown. What keeps this program interesting for young scholars? What resonates with potential employers and graduate schools?

When PediaVision, inventor of the Spot vision screener, approached Mack to manufacture its new, wireless, handheld vision screening device, the original design included a multi-component optical frame that served as the support structure for all internal components. Initially, the frame design included seven machined plastic components, 14 screws, 12 pins, and
15 minutes of assembly time. The challenge? Cut cost...
