Angela's quilts and beautifully crafted knit and crochet items hold a special place in her heart.

At the end of this month, she will participate in her first craft show and donate her profits to The Children's Room.

The Children's Room is a special place for Emily, and she was excited to show her grandmother around on a recent visit.

Emily led the group from room to room and shared her favorite TCR activities. Continue reading...

A New Program Year Begins at TCR
fall leaf with red heart
TCR staff and volunteer facilitators have been welcoming new and returning families to our peer support groups, and our warm and welcoming house is once again filled with the sounds of laughter and group activities.

Our peer support groups in area schools and Boys & Girls Clubs in Boston are also starting back up now that school is in full swing.

It doesn't end there -- in addition to peer support groups, TCR offers a range of services for grieving families, including:
Our Heartfelt Thanks
Hearts

We are grateful to so many of you whose support enables all that we do here at The Children's Room. A word of thanks for some special donations of time, talent, and much-needed resources:

Volunteers from Sherwin-Williams lent their painting experience to TCR for a day
  • Arlington Hockey Club for hosting a successful Skate-A-Thon to benefit TCR's Memories Walk, raising over $8,000!
  • All our Memories Walk participants, volunteers, and sponsors.
  • All our gifted, reliable, caring volunteers (close to 100!), without whom we could not reach nearly as many children and families... thank you, one and all.

The Children's Room has partnered with Donate for Charity to make it fast and easy to donate your old vehicle to TCR. Your vehicle will be picked up - free of charge! - from anywhere and TCR will receive a donation in the amount of the vehicle's value.
