School Connectedness

Social-Emotional Skills and the Road to Success

One of the six strategies for fostering school connectedness

Social-emotional skills are a popular topic among BC educators these days - and for good reason. The social-emotional learning (SEL) skills you teach in your classroom or school can help your students become better scholars; kinder friends; healthier, happier people; and, maybe someday, better parents and partners. So, start navigating the way to that better future for your students by integrating SEL into your daily practice. Click here to learn more!

Serving Up Breakfast Granola

Correlieu Secondary students share the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast

At Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel, students studied the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast, and then put their learning into action! They created a healthy granola recipe, and ultimately donated 50 pounds of fresh, school-made granola to the school's Breakfast Club, as well as 50 pounds of granola to the local homeless shelter.
