March Is International Women's Day
ProMOTION Plus celebrates BC girls and women in sport
Celebrated around the world and in BC, March 8th is International Women's Day. The popular annual event celebrates progress toward equality for women, and reflects on challenges and barriers that remain, in order to achieve equality for all women.

DASH is pleased to announce that Project Coordinator Kari Lyster is returning full time. Many of our readers know Kari from her work with the Healthy Schools Network, and know that her dedication to her work and infectious laugh make her a pleasure to work with. For the last year, Kari has been working part time at DASH while pursuing her Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). Welcome back, Kari!

Grants encourage innovative ways to get active
The next ParticipACTION Teen Challenge funding deadline is March 15th, 2013! Community Host Organizations are eligible for funding of up to $250 to support a one-time event and up to $500 to support an ongoing program or challenge where youth are engaged in physical activity.
