Authentic Haven Brand Natural Brew Teas for Plant Nutrition and Soil Care
Families have three new natural "brews" at their disposal to feed garden and indoor plants.
San Juan Capistrano, Cali. - Today, families are increasingly aware of the chemical make-up of the products they use in their homes and around their children and pets. The products used to

care for gardens and indoor plants are under as much scrutiny as household cleaners and prepared foods. Natural options for garden and indoor plant care are increasingly finding their way onto garden center shelves and online retailers. But what to choose?
Environmentally conscious gardeners have a new choice in all-natural plant food and soil conditioners-Authentic Haven Brand Natural Brew Teas. Affectionately known as "Moo Poo Tea" by gardeners who have sampled them, the nickname hints at the products' origins. Two of the line's products are manure teas, with ingredients freshly "harvested" from the pastures of the Haven Family Ranch in San Juan Capistrano, California, a farm run by the Haven family for more than 160 years and still going strong today.
"We haven't changed a thing about how we raise our livestock over the five generations my family has run this ranch," says Annie Haven, the property's current owner and manager. "Our cows and horses are grass fed and thrive in the California sun as they've done for more than a century. It's the way livestock is meant to be raised and it's the only way the Havens have ever done it."
A Mighty Boost for Plants
That "magic" isn't magic at all, but old-fashioned soil science. The manure tea bags contain naturally occurring nutrients used by the plant as well as microbes that condition the soil, helping plant roots absorb water, oxygen and nutrients more efficiently.

"I've sampled the Manure Tea, using it to hydrate my seeds before planting and also to water my rooftop vegetable gardens," says garden expert Fran Sorin, CBS Radio Garden Contributor and author of Digging Deep: Unearthing Your Creative Roots Through Gardening. "The benefits were clearly visible from the start: Seeds germinated quickly and the subsequent growth has been lush and healthy. The fruits on my tomato plants are phenomenal. I'm more than happy with how the Moo Poo Tea is working for me."
I think this is fantastic for the garden, the way my grandfather enriched his soil was with good old-fashioned cow manure. Many garden centers will now be carrying "Moo Poo Tea" at their stores, make sure you ask for it this spring. It can be used on everything, seeds, herbs, plants, flowers, trees and more. I love that it does not have a strong "poo poo" odor and its easy very easy to use. What a great gift to give to a gardener...plus it strikes up a great conversation!
Visit www.manuretea.com for more information. Manure tea is available in Cow and Horse; and Alfalfa manure for Roses only. Here is a video that I found on youtube with how-to-instructions:
