You are invited to the American Alliance for Theatre and Education and Illinois Theatre Association's Theatre in Our Schools (TIOS) Conference!
Join theatre artists, educators and scholars dedicated to theatre for and with young people as we explore Theatre: A Role for Everyone, a Catalyst for Change. Highlights include:
- Nine engaging workshops, demonstrations and sessions
- An update on the National Theatre Core Arts Standards and a report on progress toward new Illinois Arts Standards
- Networking opportunities
- Raffle Prizes and refreshments
- A celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Evanston/Skokie School District 65 Drama program
- An inspirational keynote by award winning playwright, director and teacher, Gloria Bond Clunie
- A project to record stories of theatre education in Evanston and Illinois to be archived at a theatre education collection at ASU
- A remembrance of pioneer theatre educator Anne Thurman
