Charles Sturt University Public Lecture titled 'Religious freedom and the Future of Christianity in a Multi-faith and Secular Australia' by Rt Rev'd Professor Stephen Pickard will be held on Wednesday, 25th March 2015, 5pm - 7pm. All lectures are free and open to the community with tickets available at the Glasshouse Box Office from Wednesday, 11th March. Along with the free New Access service, BeyondBlue staff are offering to come to your group or staff meeting and talk about these questions, as well as discuss the latest research on how to take action on depression or anxiety. We cover how to recognise the early signs and symptoms, why taking action early is important, and some things to do if you, or someone you know, might need support. | Twilight Tastings 19th March 2015 |
March 19th will see the Hastings community welcome a brand new event to the region - A Beer & Wine expo called "Twilight Tastings".
The Hastings Co op thought what better way to celebrate our local and Aussie wineries and beer makers but to have an arvo where they are all under the same roof at the one time! From 4pm until 7pm, all will be welcomed to the Wauchope Showground where for just $5 [with proceeds going to the Wauchope Show society] per person you will get a taste of wines and beers from around the region, and receive some terrific exclusive deals! In addition, there will be live music and great food tasting from Ricardoes, SAXBYS [Durries] and East Coast Gourmet, just to name a few. View poster here!

| $49,000 Solar grant for Port Macquarie | 
"PLANS for a local solar power project can now begin following an announcement on Tuesday. Member for Port Macquarie and Parliamentary Secretary for Renewable Energy Leslie Williams said the Port Macquarie-Hastings Sustainability Network would receive $49,500 as part of the Growing Community Energy grants to help start the project. Network member Steve Lockhart said they were over the moon to receive the funding. "I've had my head in a community renewable energy space for a long time and the money will allow us a starting point because now we can now put the framework in place," he said."
