Fuel watch in Port Macquarie |

The Port Chamber kicked off the New Year raising the question of why petrol pricing in the region sits significantly higher than in metropolitan areas who are reaping the benefits of low prices currently. President Hadyn Oriti lodged a complaint with the ACCC (port news story), followed by correspondence from the Port Chamber to the ACCC and Dr David Gillespie's office to raise our concern. Recently, the ACCC announced it will undertake an investigation into regional petrol pricing and will select three regional areas to be included in an in depth analysis.
You can keep up with local fuel prices which are posted daily on the Port Macquarie Fuel Watch - Official facebook group. The page asks for consumers to post prices to assist a unified effort to support those outlets offering a cheaper price and encourage the price reduction across the region.
