Changes Ahead for Port Macquarie Community College

A New Year, new name  and new course program: these are some of the changes Port Macquarie Community College is preparing to introduce in 2014 to ready itself for the a changed funding model due to be implemented in January  2015 through the NSW Government's Smart and Skilled policy for Vocational Education and Training (VET). The College is a quality provider of vocational qualifications across a range of industry areas including Aged Care, Information Technology, Disability, Children Services, Business, Hospitality, and the training of VET teachers. It also plays a major role in supporting disadvantaged groups in the community such as the disabled and youth at risk.  See proposed changes in PMCC Media Release

What's happening at Council?

Council is currently preparing a Recreation Plan for the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area. This Plan will provide direction for the future development of parks, recreation and sporting facilities and services within the region for the next 10 years.
