Do You Know Your Spiritual Gifts?
As members of the body of Christ, we are called to "seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself." To fully serve well, we must understand and use our spiritual gifts. We discover our spiritual gifts for others by examining our gifts, personal style (personality), and God-given passions. Then we are able to serve the right people, in the right places, for the right reasons and at the right time.

We have different seasons of service in our lives. Have you life circumstances changed? Maybe your children can now fend for themselves, you are retired, you moved and need a new ministry outlet, or you just never got around to it?  Have you lived out your current season and are feeling burned out and frustrated? Do you need to find a different avenue for serving God's people? Knowing your gifts, passion, availability and reason for serving enriches your life and the lives of those you touch.

We will explore the aspects of serving through our gifts, personality and passions.  Classes will be held on Sundays, October 4, 11, and 25 in Discovery House at 4:00 p.m. The charge for the class is $10 for the book we will use.  Please contact Mother Alice at asadler@stjohnstampa.org or 397.1005.

Led by Philip Yancey and featuring film clips of cinematic portrayals, it's certain to get participants thinking and growing! This curriculum features 6 DVD sessions in which Yancey provides insightful biblical teaching that challenges our understanding of Jesus and calls us to a deeper life of discipleship.
