We want to provide support in your time of need!
Current health regulations prohibit the clergy from being informed when our parishioners are in the hospital, so we will not know if you or someone you love is there unless you tell us. We want to provide support in any time of need or crisis.
Please call the parish offices at 259.1570 or email

Sunday's Scripture Snippet
Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
Acts 2

Following the 7:45 a.m. service this Sunday, Greg Gaar, our Senior Warden, and Paul Brokaw, our Junior Warden, invite all parishioners to join them for coffee and conversation in the Lowry Room. Parishioners are also invited to join the Wardens in the Parish Hall following the 9:00 a.m. service, during the monthly Parish Breakfast.
The Wardens want to discuss the current state of affairs and get parishioner feedback on where we are and where we all want to go. They want to discuss the process the Vestry is currently using to gain further knowledge and skills to help in discerning the best direction our Parish should take. Please come with ideas and questions, we hope to have a very interactive discussion.

Endowment Sunday is this Sunday, May 18th
There is a well kept secret at St. John's ...... it is our Endowment and it is currently entering its eleventh year. Simply put, the Endowment allows the good work that each of us faithfully performs to continue when we are no longer able to. Your will is the bridge from your estate you leave behind to bequeathing a gift to our Endowment. If you do not have a will or would like to name St. John's Endowment in an existing will, we can be of help on how to start that process.
Our Book of Common Prayer reminds us that "the Minister of the Congregation is directed to instruct the people, from time to time, about the duty of Christian parents to make prudent provision for the well-being of their families, and of all persons to make wills, while they are in health, arranging for the disposal of their temporal goods, not neglecting, if they are able, to leave bequests for religious and charitable uses."
Please be on the lookout for more information on Endowment Sunday - May 18th. For more information, please contact Christopher Lykes, St. John's Endowment Chair.

Wednesday Nights at St. John's
(Parish Hall) Becoming More by Doing Less During these Wednesday night sessions, we will have another chance to learn from Terry Hershey through a DVD series and to discuss at length the ideas which he presents to us about a fulfilling Christian life as we learn more from him.In each of the brief DVD sections, we are invited to take practical steps to slow down, regroup, and regain a sense of balance in a world that worships at the altar of business and busy-ness.
This group meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Bring a Bible, a covered dish to share, and an open heart and mind. Contact Paul and Winkie Game at pgamefla@aol.com for details.
