Sunday's Scripture Snippet

Then Isaiah said: "Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary mortals, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel."

Isaiah 7

News

A reminder that the parish offices remain closed today for the Christmas holiday.  We welcome you to join us tomorrow at 12:15 p.m. for a celebration of the Holy Eucharist in honor of the feast of St. John. We will also celebrate the feast of the Holy Innocents on Saturday, December 28, at 12:15 p.m. in the chapel.

Fr. Remer's Retirement Reception, College Homecoming Breakfast

A combined service of lessons and carols, a brunch to honor Fr. Doug Remer's time at St. John's, and a college homecoming breakfast made St. John's a lively and crowded place this past Sunday, December 22! Visit our church's Facebook page to see more photos (www.facebook.com/stjohnstampa).

St. John's Donations Mean A Merrier Christmas for Children and Families at Cornerstone Kids, Metropolitan Ministries, and Alpha House

A huge amount of toys were donated to Cornerstone Kids and Metropolitan Ministries, and boxes and boxes of diapers to Alpha House this holiday season by St. John's.  The joint Church/School drives were a big success and meant that the bare shelves at Met Min were filled, while our friends at Cornerstone Kids received just what they wanted for the holiday. Below is just a portion of what was donated, the gifts from our School's Middle Division. Thanks to all who were so generous!
