Tornado Relief through ERD
Episcopal Relief & Development has been in contact with local partners in the Episcopal dioceses of Fort Worth and Oklahoma following tornadoes on May 16 and May 20 that caused severe damage and loss of life. These devastating events were caused by a large storm system that set off tornado alerts from Texas to Minnesota.
At this time, Episcopal Relief & Development encourages prayers for those impacted, and for first responders who are providing immediate assistance. Donations to Episcopal Relief & Development's Tornado Response Fund will support outreach efforts in affected areas and help meet urgent needs. Please click here for a flyer regarding the efforts, or go here to give your financial help online.

What's Your Ebenezer Story?
In his sermon on Sunday, June 9, Fr. Doug Zimmerman encouraged the congregation to share their "Ebenezer Moments" with each other. What works is God doing in your life right now that you think He is calling you to reveal?
Literally speaking, an Ebenezer is a "stone of help," or a reminder of God's real, holy presence and divine aid. An Ebenezer stands in witness of what God has done or is doing. Where do you see God's presence and help? Don't neglect the "little nudges" or the obvious action of the Lord - keep watch and then share - bear witness to what God is doing here in the life of St. John's. If God is "Almighty and Everliving" (and yes, He is!), we can expect to encounter Him in each and any moment. He may speak to you through the Bible, the Sacraments, a friend or stranger; perhaps in your time of trouble or of celebration. God's real presence and God's assistance are opportunities for us to raise our own "Ebenezers."
What was your Ebenezer moment this week? Email them to parish@stjohnstampa.org.

A Gift for Mother Stefanie Taylor
As you know, Mother Stefanie Taylor is leaving St. John's to take the position of chaplain at St.Martin's School in Atlanta. The parish is taking up a collection for her, to provide her with a purse to express our good wishes and appreciation for her time here. We hope you will consider a contribution to this fund. Please click here for Fr. Remer's letter regarding this gift.
