Don't Forget to be Neighborly!
Please don't forget to follow all traffic laws and regard all posted parking signs when arriving for services or any other St. John's-sponsored event.  We want to be good neighbors and respect the homes and property of our fellow Hyde Park residents.

A few specific reminders:
  • No car may park closer than 10 feet from any driveway or intersection.
  • Cars may not park in designated "no parking" zones, even for a brief time. 
  • Posted speed limits must be adhered to at all times.
Parish Picnic and Combined Services
On Sunday, April 7, we will combine the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services into one 10:00 a.m. service, with the annual Parish Picnic immediately following.  Please mark your calendars, bring a covered dish to share, and plan to join us!  St. John's will provide the main course and dessert.  For more information, contact Leland Baldwin, Director of Christian Education.
VBS 2013
Vacation Bible School for 2013 will take place July 22 through 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for ages 3 to 10.  Volunteers are needed, if you can help or if you have questions, please contact Leland Baldwin, Director of Christian Education.

Candle and Flowers Available 

The candle in the sanctuary light is available on the following Sundays:  April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, and May 19.  The flowers in the chapel are available on Sunday, April 7. If you are interested, please contact the parish offices at parish@stjohnstampa.org, or by calling 259.1570.

2013 Every Member Canvass  

The end of the calendar year marks the Every Member Canvass campaign for St. John's Church.  Please prayerfully consider what you can contribute this year for the glory of God and the support of St. John's.  Please click here to read Fr. Celebratio 2013
St. John's School Parents' Club cordially invites you to save the date for the biggest annual fundraiser of the school year, Celebratio!  This year's theme is Havana Nights, and the festive event will be held at Tampa Yacht and Country Club.  Food, drinks, a live band, and amazing live and silent auctions will highlight the evening, as we raise money for St. John's School so that our School can continue to provide a superior education within a nurturing Christian environment to nearly 600 students in grades K(4) through 8. 

Individual tickets are $100, and sponsorship levels are available for those who would like to support the School even more generously and promote their business or cause. Women's Mid Morning Bible Study
Please join the Women's Mid Morning Bible Study group for their next session, which will be guided by the Rev. Stefanie Taylor, Assistant Rector of St. John's.  The group will meet in the Lowry Room at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, to study the "Parable of the Lamp or Candle" (Matt. 5:15-16; Luke 8:16-17 and 11:33-36).
