3 Types of BC's

What You Need To Know About BC's
Fish Of the Month
Epinephelus Tukula
Potato Bass
This large friend to scuba divers can best be seen at Doodles in Mozambique. It is a robust fish, grey-brown with dark blotches over the body and fins. The older the potato bass, the darker the blotches. If you're quiet and calm, you can get really close and see it's teeth in its huge mouth! The potato bass will raise it's dorsal fin - it looks like a large saw on it's back - if you get too close when uninvited. The potato bass can reach 2.2m in length and is aggressive if provoked. They eat fish, skates, crabs, lobsters etc. It is illegal to spear fish these giants in South African waters.
