Testimonial from Devon Mc'Alpine |
My life as an Intern at Scubaversity
I started diving way way back, in February 2011, on a small island known to the world as Australia. To be more specific, the Dive Shack on Noarlunga Beach, Adelaide, South Australia!
Anyway, moving on... After my trip I came back home to the land of the Saffas and I went on a quest to find a dive shop somewhere, anywhere that would employ me because I was now a diver and I wanted to be a beach bum, never mind just an instructor! I went to every single dive shop in Jo'burg, and got turned away from every single dive shop in Jo'burg... that is until I happened to drive past what looked like a diving logo. My mom basically forced me to make an entry and told me that if I didn't ask I would never know their answer.
The diving logo that I was looking at turned out to be the official PADI logo, and so began my very first connection with Scubaversity.
And yes that's right, it was a complete fluke.
I did the usual routine, walked in and asked if I could have a job. And once again I was politely turned down by one of the interns. I thought, "No harm, no fowl", and didn't think much more of it as I walked out, until Jason caught... Read More

A scuba diver is 1,000 feet below surface when his oxygen tank runs out of air. The diver doesn't make it up for nearly two or more hours, yet he does not die when his oxygen tank runs out. Why didn't the diver die when his oxygen tank ran out and how did he reach the surface?
Answer:
The diver was already dead when his oxygen tank ran out and his body floated up to the surface
