Microsoft Selects "I Have A Dream" as a Giving Hero: Double your gift on December 3rd!

Jason with his wife and son and Lori Canova, CEO, at the Aspen Dreamer Class Dedication.

Jason Vallery, a Dreamer Alum and Microsoft employee, nominated "I Have A Dream" for a Giving Hero Award and Microsoft chose the organization to receive a grant and an opportunity to participate in a Global Giving Campaign. Jason recently became a Dreamer Sponsor as well, stating, "This is one way I'm attempting to pay back a small fraction of the debt I feel towards this organization. I hope in the years to come I can find further ways to pay it forward and help kids in the same way I was helped."

On December 3rd at 10:01 AM (MST), any donations up to $1000 per donor made through our Global Giving page will be matched, dollar for dollar, by Microsoft. There are only $250,000 in matching funds and the matching funds  are expected to expire in ONE HOUR! We hope you will be a Giving Hero this holiday season and double your gift by taking advantage of this opportunity.

About the "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County
Since 1990, the award-winning "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County has assisted 650 children from low-income areas in achieving their education and career goals by providing long-term personal and academic support, tutoring, mentoring and four-year tuition-assistance scholarships to each graduating student. The organization adopts entire groups of students from elementary schools, or from low-income housing sites, and works with these children and their families through high school graduation and into post-high school education. Currently, there are six active "I Have A Dream" classes in Boulder County, two in each Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette. The program has doubled expected graduation rates for its graduating classes of students and has awarded over $1 million in scholarships. The program follows the national model established in New York in 1981 by founder Eugene Lang.
