Just last month the US Department of Agriculture unveiled this new logo.  It is meant to illustrate the newest guidelines for healthier eating.  Notable are that vegetables and fruits take up half the plate and that the grains proportion is greater than that of protein. 

The USDA also recommends water over sugary liquids.
