Emergency First Response
7 Sept

Did you know...

Most accidents that you would have to deal with occur at home?

Non Divers can also do an EFR course?

Children can do an EFR course?

Care for children This course is a good idea for child minders as it teaches them how to do CPR skills on babies and children.
Hello there all you wonderful people!

Yes you guessed it I am in a good mood and from what I can see in facebook so is the rest of the world. We have sunshine and good times back on our door step!

Now I know all of you went into hibernation this winter. So by now all of you should be a lekker pasty white, which really looks good with all the fat rolls that collected while you were lying on your couch, munching away! Yes, don't look away you know what I am talking about!

So  my solution is to go to the Red Sea an lie on a live-aboard with 24 other pasty white people for a week and then come back and look absolutely fabulous.

For the rest of you we, need to find a different solution.

Here we go! All you need to do is grab the wetsuit out of the dark dingy hole it was buried in, then come round to Scubaversity or join us at Miracle or lets be brave come with us to Sodwana. Now this is important you need to get dressed where no-one can see you, then go dive and then afterwards ONLY TAKE HALF OF THE WETSUIT OFF otherwise you might blind some people. Then stand around in the sun and get red as quickly as possible. After your dive take the wetsuit off quickly without anyone seeing you then put a shirt and short on and then burn the legs. The next weekend your top half and legs will look nice and healthy. The stuff in the middle no-one, except your husband or wife cares about!

Anyway have a look at the rest of the newsletter, we have lots of courses this month including EFR & Rescue, Now I have said this a thousand times every diver should at least try and get to this level. I promise you with my hand on my heart even if you are
the most nervous diver once you have done the Rescue and off course PPB course diving will never be the same again! TRUST ME, I know what I am talking about!

Other than that this is obviously the best time of the year to start diving, so bring your friends, family for our FREE (I am writing this in uppercase cause I know it is important) DISCOVER SCUBA SESSIONS! I tell you what for every person you sign up I will give you a R100 store credit, now is that not wow... NOT... IS....NOT....IS! (little battle of wills happening here...)

Then we have the last two trips of the year Sodwana at the end of the month and the infamous year end trip. So start booking now cause space is going to be little!

So shall I stock up the bar and buy lots of boeries?

See you soon!

What Does It Mean to Be a Rescue Diver?       21 Sept

So now  that we are all qualified advanced divers, we obviously  all know  what we are doing and feel comfortable underwater. Although there are more people dying from falling out of bed than dive accidents, you might still want to consider putting safety first by taking the step and enrolling on the Rescue Course. This course is not just to show you how to help other people but will influence your own confidence and diving skills remarkably!
