Hello
Oops I just realised that this is my first "official" newsletter of the year... Luckily Colwin never reads my email so I am off the hook for now. Anyway I hope all of you are fit & fat and enjoying life, not stressing too much about the credit crunch! If you are stressing the solution lies in breathing nitrogen under pressure better known as scuba diving! Take this past weekend we had an awesome group of 80 people in Sodwana with the most beautifull warm weather, flat - flat seas & 30 meters plus visibility...all I can say is WHOOOPEEEEE!!!!! That is what life is about.
However dont despair - we have Mosambique happening at the end of the month which will be just the same if not a 100 times better.
Check out the calender book yourself on the course, join us for this months social, come dive in the pool, Miracle anything just get out and come have some fun with us!
Looking forward to seeing aaalll of you soon!
Lots of love Mandy
P.S - I bought myself a bright yellow beach buggy, she is the cutest thing you have ever seen - come check it out. We had such fun with it in Mosambique.
P.P.S - Promised I'd say hello to the American & German Visitors we had in December ...so hello hope you had fun - is it still freezing over there, are you feeling envious?

THIS MONTH'S COURSES
|

5 Mar - Navigation Speciality
Navigation... Just hearing the word
makes most people reach for their GPS; those who don't have it starts running
for the hills. That's when we talk about navigation on Land. Then we add the
dynamic substance known as water, the panic sets in. Each one of us can lead our own dives, the challenge is that many of us do not
know how to use a compass properly and as result we panic.
In this specialty we have fun whilst
learning to navigate underwater, learning more about the compass and
understanding that when we start trusting this very useful tool, our approach
to navigation starts to become fun orientated rather than something to stress
about. It's now a good time to take the challenge and find direction.
9 Mar - Rescue Diver Course
The PADI Rescue Course is a prerequisite for any diver looking at
becoming a Master Scuba Diver or
taking the professional route towards Scuba
Dive Master and Instructor. Definately one of the most fun and beneficial courses PADI
offers, where you get to rescue your fellow divers out of many situations without having
to rush them to a chamber!
On the serious
side it prepares you mentally and physically, enabling you to manage any diving
incident efficiently and effectively. On completion of this course, you will
not only be able to assist other divers or save lives, you will also be more
confident and skilled as a diver, making diving as a whole a more enjoyable
experience!
17 Mar - Peak Performance Bouyancy
A course focused only on buoyancy skills. This is a must for every diver from Openwater qualification upwards. It will contribute to
your effortless diving ability, allowing for more interaction opportunities
with the Reef while protecting it, your air consumption will improve and you'll
have more MUCH more fun under water. The best being able to stop pretending that you are an anchor! 17 Mar - Night Speciality
Night diving is unique in
the sense that it opens a whole new perspective to diving. It is something not
a lot of divers get to experience, due to preconceived perceptions of diving
when it is dark. In actual fact you will never be more exposed to the palette
of colour that the ocean can offer than on a night diving with a little aid
from your torch.
The fish will never interact
with you as much on a night dive and you tend to pick up the peculiarities and
habits of the ocean life much easier. The excitement lies in the thrill of
seeing the nocturnal animals coming out of their habitats and seeing the
phosphorescent for the first time.
24 Mar - Deep Speciality
Just mention a "Deep
Dive" amongst a group of divers and watch their responses. Those who are qualified
to venture to the furthest depths of recreational diving, show enthusiasm
tempered with respect for the more serious nature of deep diving safety. There
is something alluring, exciting and mysterious attracting divers to "Go
Deep".
The PADI Deep Diver
Specialty Course was
developed to teach you the techniques that make recreational deep diving safe
and fun. You'll learn deep diving limits, and how to stay within them. You'll
also get to understand the effects of Nitrogen Narcosis, no-decompression
limits and limited air supply in a controlled environment. Your skill and
ability as a diver will improve as you practice deep diving techniques. You'll
find that PADI Deep Diver training opens the doors to new dive sites and new adventures.
5 / 12 & 24 Mar - Advanced Course The
PADI Advanced dive course can and should be done right after completing your
Open water Course! You will go on 5 whole new adventures that are fun easy and
exciting: Discover the mystery of deeper diving, enjoy the nocturnal life while
night diving, master your compass with some navigation excercises & start
the mastering buoyancy control. All required is one lecture & one actioned
packed weekend. |

Absolutely. Positively, Without a Doubt, Nothing like it...
Not even a little bit!
Cheers,
